Thanksgiving Break!!!!

So i have not posted anything for quite a while. There is a method to my madness though. I have been so busy with thanksgiving. I had actually three thanksgivings! It was so wonderful I mean I had a total of 6 turkeys to eat from, and yet there were still leftovers! It was really good and so delicious :) I had a wonderful holiday. Not to mention the food but my family yes I love my family. I have to say I am a little homesick. I mean I love my family and I love Utah now granted I may not stay there forever. I may get an apartment this summer and work in the theatre industry. I also have a job lined up but that is a different story. So thanksgiving morning comes around I hear my Grandmother get up and start cooking which was really amazing I just smelled it and it was so so good. I got to have the drumstick of the turkey. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I mean come on turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie so, so good.  Any who al i have to say awesome break I had I was well relaxed! So i was thinking I wanted to go see the lights in down town salt lake. It was so much fun it was my twin, and my friends Britney and Alyssa. It was so much fun.

Your wondering why well its a tradition to go see the lights at temple square I absolutely love it! I was thinking what a blessing it is to have friends. Especially one like Alyssa Toscano. I went to a thanksgiving dinner at her house and I was invited to sing for a friend of there family. It so happens she is like a billionaire. So the pressure was on just a little bit. Alyssa's father is also a really good man to meet. He enjoyed my voice he said. He also asked if I had an agent and I said no. He said I am will look for an agent for you either in New York or LA. I was like wow that is really nice and gracious of him. Suzette the billionaire said tat she has connections to broadway across america and broadway it self. I was like oh my goodness. Suzette also offered me to look into a record label which are really hard to come by I was so thrilled and  happy to be a the right place at the right time. I was so excited to hear all the info on Alyssa's father and Suzette that she told me I am so excited to see what happens next.

So back to a subject I had covered for just a little bit. Temple Square, yes the downtown lights it was fun and I would't take it back ever. I went with my twin and also Britney and Alyssa. So we went and saw the lights. I thought that would be enough. It wasn't for Alyssa she wanted to go on a carriage ride and She paid for it. I was like AWESOME!!! She was so happy we took a ride it was so much fun. I have not been on a carriage ride since i was 4 so i enjoyed myself. All I can say that the break was fun and relaxing. I plan on having more fun during Christmas Break so, so excited i can't wait!

Week of Awesomeness

So as you all know i am a makeup guru. I love to portray a character on my face. It happens to be one of my interests in the theatre field. I got to apply to my face the Monkey King, from the Beijing Opera. It was hard and it was not perfect but it was really fun to apply to my face. I also like to see what I can come up with. So many good opportunities come my way. This week has been quite wonderful. I must say Thanksgiving is coming up and I am so excited to see my family and eat a lot of food. You have to remember I have two Thanksgivings. So i recently went to makeup class as i said earlier. I went and we are assigned to do our makeup morgues which is really exciting! I am liking the professionalism in the class. The professor is really awesome. I mean sometimes i play with makeup to see if I can get a character out of it. The next one I plan on doing is Jacob Marley from Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. It is really exciting I can't wait to get my hands on that project.

Makeup is not the only class I am excited for. I learned a lot this week from Modern Dance to Acting. In modern we learned this new combination that is extremely fun. I mean who knew I could move like that oh yea. It's called practicing. I love a good class of dance and the better thing is that our Professor teaches it so well and he is so professional about it. I also love the quality and the experience I am getting at school. I have been recently thinking on where do I want to go to school after here? I am thinking University of Michigan or Boston Conservatory. I am also thinking Southern Utah University. They all have classical and Musical theatre. I know where I want to go to Graduate School That place is a dream school to me and it's called Julliard. It does have a classical setting hardcore but, I love the classics yes, this includes Shakespeare. Oh how I love that man he was sheer genius when he wrote is plays poem and sonnets.  Brilliant I say just brilliant how can a man be so brilliant? Okay I know a lot of people don't like his work but I do. I love acting as well. You can say duh because you are a Musical Theatre Major. In acting today we played the target and conflict game. It was so much fun. I also set my goal to be a better one i thought I used to get it but my professor said, "Acting is so easy that it is hard." I thoroughly agree. So many good classes that you can have. I want to take more classes because there are so many good ones to take. Lets say Acting II for instant I can't take it because of all the blasted credits. So I will be okay I will see if I can squeeze it in there. Education is wonderful some people don't get it the better thing is Scholarships are wonderful. People sometimes don't get them and yet again people abuse them. Which of course is stupid I mean use your money wisely.

So the Thanksgiving is coming up only 5 more days till I go home or around 7 days I can't remember. It is so wonderful I am really excited! I mean my Grandmother lets talk about her for a moment. I love her to death. She goes through so much it is a lot of work for her. She makes food a day in advance well because our family is huge and it is awesome. I love this holiday, I have said it once and I will say it again. I have two Thanksgivings we also play football it is a lot of fun. The Smiths and the other family get competitive. Still you must know that even though we are competitive we love each other. Family it is a wonderful thing never bail on your family or you are missing out on something important. You have to remember to Love your Mother because she gave birth to you. Love your Father because well he teaches you a lot of things, such a respect to everyone you meet, and so many things in life to look out for. Love life and be happy with yourself and with the world around you. Thus in the Name of Shakespeare have a happy time in life.

88 MPH

So this week was really fun. I got to finally perform with 88 MPH the acapella group. I am so thrilled I got into that group. It is so much fun as we were performing I was such a spaz. I was called the Brian of the group. Most of you probably don't know Brian Owen but he was in acapella before me. We all were looking forward to this performance and I was so, so excited. So this week was rough I have been better physically because I was just not feeling well. You know when you get the feeling you are not feeling well and your body just wanna give up some time. My body was overheating and my right side of my body went numb and then I just fell asleep because I did not feel well. I was also watching Friends the TV show it was good i love that series. Any who that was basically my own adaptation of the week.

Have you ever had the feeling when people just annoy you because they want to see you fail? Well there is a cure for that stop talking to them. I mean if they bug you ignore them it is not cool when people are poop faces. I would usually say something else but I am not like that because I am not angry. I have a glare apparently when I get angry. I don't try to. I try to hide it. Usually people don't know when I am angry. Only people who know me well. Usually I like to be by myself when I am angry. You know, to cool down. When I find myself angry I have to remember just brush it off. I mean it is not worth it to take it out on someone. I guess thats why I take a moment to myself. You know so I don't like say something rude or make people feel bad. I usually am not an angry person, but when people constantly make you mad it gets on your nerve.

So people ask me how is my family. I say they are well. I miss them an awful lot. I mean Thanksgiving is one and a half week which is wonderful I am so excited. I told my twin brother that I was going to give him a awesome Christmas present. Oh, Believe me it is legit no joke. Lets just say I am working hard for it. It wil be worth it. I don't like loans because you have to pay them off. I mean you don't have to pay till after school and i mean I just want to get it paid off you know it is worth it to have something be paid off and not worry about it. I call it my emergency money. I am lucky to have what I have some of my fellow peers have to pay a lot to go to school. I am lucky where I am at remember look at your gifts as blessings and your conflicts as not something bad. I think we should take them on head first. Blessings are a beautiful thing.

Date Night

So last night was Sunday it was awesome. Why was it awesome you may ask? Well first off it was daylight savings and I got an extra hour of sleep. It was wonderful I got to relax it was nice a well deserved break why because Sunday is the day of rest they say. Yes I know my bible, any who I have recently got a email inviting me to come sing in Salt Lake and sing O Holy Night. I was honored to hear they picked me to come sing. I am thrilled, I know Thanksgiving has not come yet but practice never hurt any one. Speaking of Thanksgiving I am so excited to go home most people don't know why I am so excited. I have two thanksgivings on Thanksgiving. How cool is that double everything, it's so awesome I do believe I will gain some pounds I don't want to but it is worth it. I love the holidays October through January, you just get to have fun and party all the time.

Any who to my topic which is date night, yes I got to have a date in my dorm room it was really fun I mean we didn't really go out we had goodies and hot chocolate and sat on the floor and watched a movie. I also am trying to make my dorm room more home like. The lights that they have in the dorms remind me of something I don't like particularly. So i bought some Christmas lights and I brought my small lap from home, I know christmas lights don't judge me. So we just sat there and talked it was quite lovely I got to know my date more and more. That's what your suppose to do on a date. I mean if you go on a date thinking you are going to get some action well think again. I personally think you should get to know them before you jump in with them. Now on the other hand I could be wrong people sometime just want action. I think that is so so wrong in so many ways. I mean if you have a girlfriend by all means you can make love to them. Or if you have a partner I mean don't be afraid to show love to them by either making love to them or just getting to know them. I support all relationships. Gay or straight it's our God given right to be loved. You may be wondering why I am talking about this, well it so happens to be that this was one of our topics at one point in life. One other thing if you decide to make love to the one you love KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!

I am saying this Amanda and I talked for about a good 2 hours while watching the movie. When a topic came up we would talk about it and share our opinions. Date nights what can I say they are fun and you get to know people more and more as long as your nice and are a friend to them. Don't lose your chance to meet someone new every day.   

Frustrations

So the topic today is basically my title. I have realized that some things frustrate us, but what can you do I try to not let it bug me. I love the fact that some time frustrations can help you in some way. I sometimes overreact I am like just done ya know. Some people look at frustrations as pure negative but it's going to happen. People also look at it so they take it out on other people I'm sorry but stay calm and everything will be okay. Now lets say someone totally doesn't not follow the rules of a show or a job that can get you frustrated and everyone else could get in trouble. So all of the people are like no we don't want to get in trouble. I agree getting in trouble is not the best thing in the world. I don't like confrontations it takes a lot for me to get mad if someone is being rude or lets say being and idiot i just laugh because it makes them look stupid. Some on always asked did you see what she or he just did and I say ya I did they look funny to me. Don't let get any one get you down because they can just be morons and want to see you fall why let them have the satisfaction? Thats not fun or even good so stand up for you and stick to your game plan not any one else's.

So show time for Oklahoma went really well the show is a really good show. I used to not like the show Oklahoma, but now it's up there because of the direction. I am so thrilled that it is a wonderful show and that i can say hey I am on run crew for a really great show. After opening night where did we all go of course the best place in Rock Springs, Applebee's I love that place it makes me all giddy inside a whole bunch of people went this time I mean the cast and a whole bunch of other people it was really cool. The one thing though usually I order a steak and I was some what disappointed the food I had was good just a little fried on the top and Amanda's food was a little cold. but other than that it was good no harm done I was full from my meal. The week was really good I aced a test and from there came to awesome fun times with friends up here at college I love it. Remember happiness is one of the keys to a successful life.

Crazy Days

So the past few days have been way crazy. I finally have a breather to write about them. So Oklahoma opens this weekend people should come see this show because it is a really good show. I on the other hand am on run crew. I love being on run crew it is really fun. I like being on my toes. At first I was a little hesitant for my job on the run crew. As soon as they taught me what I needed to do I was okay to move on and do my job. Some people hate there job on run crew don't ask me why because I have no idea. I think that being on run crew keeps you on your toes which is fun and exciting. Both Friday and Saturday we had 12-14 hour days on our hands. People came up to me and asked is this how they really do it in New York. I said basically because that is there job and I am sure they enjoy it. They are professionals in the art, I love working on this show because I am gaining more experience without knowing it sometimes. My Technical Director Taught the technicians how to respect everyone and to keep everyone safe in the theatre environment. I am always inspired by the professors at where I am going to college. They have been through it all College and the professional level of theatre. People yet still complain about being in the theatre some just want an easy grade. That is one of my big pet peeves if someone does not like there job please just leave the attitude of someones anger or whining per say is really immature and not professional. People come up to me and ask me why I am happy a lot of the time, and I say well i make it a good day and i even try on the bad days which are not so fun but we can always turn it around. People some time on the run crew tend to snap at people. That's not cool I mean take a few deep breaths and go eat some fruit. I mean professional is what it should be. So people ask me what I like to do for technical theatre. I said to them that I liked doing sound and lights. Sound design is so much fun. I looked at the sound board and the lighting they are immaculate it is so wonderful to have professional grade stuff to play around with. The rehearsals were good except for the mic's some of the actors put there mic's on wrong. Then the Directors told them to put them in the right spot I was like can I get a hallelujah it was a good two days of long hours.

So later that night I was doing the Alexander technique to relax physically and mentally. All of a sudden I heard my door open and it was Amanda. She seemed as she was crying and it seems she was in pain. She came and hobbled in the room. She said " I screwed up my hip and knee from dancing and it was sad i hate seeing people hurt it was not a fun sight. I said "come on in and lets take a look." She cam in an she was crying in pain. I made her lay down on the floor so we could take a look. She said my hip is out of place and she said we need to put it back in. She taught me how to put it back in place. You should have seen my reaction the first time she asked me. I said alright so I held her knees in place and she did her job in rotating her hips. She tried a first time but it did not work, so you can imagine how painful that is. She tried a second time with a little bit of help from me and it went in. Painful process to put something back in alignment. I was scared because I didn't want to hurt her. So we decided to make a trip to Salt Lake city yes my home town. It was our last resort to go get Amanda fixed up and to see what was wrong. I told my twin brother to not to tell any one that we were coming home. I was excited we all were, we drove for a good two hours home and it was very enjoyable. It was cloudy and rainy on the way home and it was fun because I love rain and cloudy weather. I got home and my youngest brother who is three came and opened the door he was all happy to see us and we were happy to see him too. My mother oh bless her she was ecstatic. It was a nice welcoming. Now remember this was Sunday when I went home and you know what that means yes Sunday dinner. I love Sunday dinner and I am excited for the upcoming holiday of Thanksgiving. I love my Grandmother's cooking both Grandmother's I should say. All i can say is THANKSGIVING AAAHHHHH!!!!! sorry had a little freak out there. Any who we got dressed up for halloween two of my brothers and I went as Pirates well what I could find to be one. Now you have to remember I live in Utah and they don't celebrate holidays on Sunday pretty dumb I know. I haven't the foggiest why they do that. So that night I gave out a bunch of candy to those who came on Sunday and said trick or treat, and I can tell I made a lot of little kids night the people on Saturday got one candy the others basically a good ten or so.

So to wrap this day up I can say I had a wonderful Sunday like I said I love Sundays they are pretty nice just to sit back and relax and have a good time. I love working the show and I love seeing my family that was really nice to have a break and just spend tim with people you love and you always will hold on to those moments which is really nice. Professionalism and Perfection thats what I look at to be successful in life. Sure I am not perfect no one is but I sure can try
