Fall is Coming!

Fall is coming. It is my favorite time of the year all the way through new years. I am so excited that we are actually going to have some cool to cold weather. I love it. Enough of this heat nonsense. I mean I love the sun lets be honest we need it so I am grateful for the sun. However when it is scorching hot it is not so fun anymore. Hey I even got Amanda to not like the heat as much. We both hope it is a wet Winter lots of snow and rain. Thats what we like. We like having thunderstorms listening to them and having a relaxation feeling. Halloween is coming up so I have been reading Frankenstein and Amanda and I will be going as Peter Pan and Wendy this year. So excited. No makeup on just a costume. Last year was hard to apply and take off. Maybe I am just lethargic recently. Any who just wanting it to cool down and relax.

So this week we had a long week. It seem like a really long week. When Friday hit we where really happy. Just relaxing and taking our time doing things instead of rushing. We even turned off the music in the car while we where driving to Amanda's parents. All though Saturday came along we slept in well until 9:30. My Mom called us and asked if we wanted to go to my younger brothers football game. We hurried did what we had to do and left for my parents house. We got there and we got to ride with Mom and like always I was driving. We where hungry and so we stopped at subway got some breakfast and went to the game. Usually I get really vocal at my brothers game. Instead I just ate my sandwich and drank my gatorade and was just watching. My younger brother did a really good job almost got a couple of sacks and had some really good plays. Even though he was hit by some idiot driving he still played with a sore knee. Proud of him so proud. After the game I went and did lawns with my Dad. We did the usual, 5 yards to mow and work on including his. I was tired however I had to have energy because it was the big game. U of U vs BYU it was an awesome game. The UTES won so I am happy I didn't want to trash talk because I am not that low. However my father in law said something funny that I had to post. "Doink the sound of a football hitting the upright." BYU missed a field goal from 39 yards away or something like that. I am happy my team won. Sure shuts up those who like to trash talk. Makes me chuckle inside.

After Saturday we had Sunday. We went to church after relaxed at home for a moment then I got a gift from my Bishop. It was a bow tie. Reason behind this gift, was one day I complimented on one of his bow ties.e said you should wear yours. I replied, I don't have one. He gasped and said why not. I sort of threw my wife under the bus saying, My wife doesn't let me have them. So after church he said I have a gift for you. I didn't know what it was. Amanda said she knew what it was. I opened it and it was a bow tie! I was happy. My wife knew I was happy so she let me keep it so next Sunday I will be wearing a bow tie. This week was good but oh my goodness was it long.

5 Things About Your Wife

So I was reading an article from one of my Religious Leader Gordon B. Hinckley. He said Husbands take a few moments to look at your wife and come up with 5 things about them and make sure it will never be forgotten. So I am going to do this challenge for my wife. Once he said Do you have your 5 things? no make them into a paragraph.

So here it goes.

1. She is Loving

I mean when I come home from work or a long day from the University I see her smiling face. She always greets me at the door with a smiling face. I know she cares. When she says I love you and wraps her arms around me I know she means it every single time. I am so grateful for her in my life. From every morning I wake up to when we cuddle in our bed together she always kisses me because she can and because the most important thing is she loves me. Now I know with all my heart that she is an amazing person and I am willing to work and do anything for her to see that she is happy.

2.She is an amazing cook

This one it may not be s sentimental but I must brag about my wife's cooking. Every time she cooks something I can never get enough of it. It is so good and amazing. Everything she makes it is with love. Speaking of it right now she is making a peach and blueberry cobbler. I am so excited .So what I have gained a few pounds and may have a gut. I am going to tell you that she is feeding me and she makes me happy and hey I am healthy so there ya go. I have people say oh my gosh your wife's cooking is amazing. Favorite thing she makes for me I don't have one it is all good. Oh my goodness I am going to be Santa Claus when I am 30 years of age jolly and fat.

3. She is Human

I look at my wife as a human well sometimes. Other times I think she is a super hero and she does so much in so little time. However when I  know she looks at me and asks whats wrong she can feel what I am feeling. It is funny never think that you are going to fool your wife. They know more than you think. I deal with chronic depression, yes we all know this, however I know she cares she knows how to help me and to be there when I need her. I also know when she feels love, pain, sadness, or joy. I know we have disagreements already and that is not good in my book. I want her to feel only two of the four I listed. Love and Joy. Ultimate happiness is what she deserves. I work for her not because I have to because I want to. She is human and she feels. She is amazing.

4. She is Patient

When I think of the word patience that means a whole new thing for me rather than my wife. I can be patient sometimes. Other times I want things to be fast and just want them to get done. My wife however can wait for hours and deal with me on top of that. When I am frustrated she goes to work on me. She knows how to calm me down and to be patient with me even when I am hot tempered or when I am bummed, or frustrated. She is patient I have never been with someone who has been as patient as her. Sometimes I feel like I put her through hell and I just can't seem to get that out of my mind some times. Once again she is patient with me. I love her for that. She also will be patient with me for 60 more years down the road.

5. She is always by My Side

Now lets think about this one for a moment. She is always by my side. Is she always at my hip side holding my hand? Well yes sometimes when I am with her. The reason I bring this up is that if something has gone wrong and I am in a mess with something school, family, or whatever it may be she is always by my side. She has been for the 2 years we have known each other. Which to me that is something I could never buy. It is something that is given to me for free. She can not be by my side that is her choice. Another thing is that there is unconditional love from her pouring out every day for me. I can;t help to say I am really lucky so lucky, the luckiest ever. I have been told that by so many people.

There are the 5 things I can think about my wife on the top of my head. Of course there are more things than just 5 you can count on that. Husbands Cling to your Wives. I believe that is more of an opportunity than a commandment from the bible. I am glad I have my wife she is an amazing person. She always will be I thank her for everything that she does. I always know I can count on her and I will be there for her. She is an amazing woman.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

So all I can say is I love our last name it is classy. I know it is one of the most common names out there. You have some people who are famous with the name of Smith. What we did this past month was we started school, did some photo shoots. Watch our friends dog frank. I just want to say that in my religion we are told husbands to cling to your wives. I must say that is a brilliant saying. I love my wife. Sometimes I feel that I am not the best husband. However I feel that my standards and religion have guided me to become a better husband. Another thing that being married has its perks is that I get to come home to someone I love each day. I go to work and support her and you know make money and thats what counts I love her and I will continue to support her. As you take a look below you at this awesome photo taken by our wonderful friend this is what I want to be. I hope my wife sees me as her superman and I will always love her and support her no matter what. This is a shorter blog but you get the gist of it. Until next time, happy reading.
